Hyderabad Police have issued a traffic advisory for the international kite and sweet festival, scheduled to take place from January 13 to 15 at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. The advisory outlines traffic diversions, parking arrangements and guidance for the public to minimise inconvenience during the event.

Traffic restrictions will be enforced based on real-time requirements. Vehicles travelling from the rotary crossroad towards SBH will be diverted at YMCA towards Clock Tower. Traffic from Rasoolpura towards Plaza will be redirected at CTO cross roads towards Balamrai. Commuters from Picket heading to SBH and Tivoli will be diverted at Sweekar Upkar towards YMCA. Vehicles from NCC travelling towards Plaza will be routed at Tivoli towards Brookbond. Entry for the general public at Parade Grounds will be allowed through gate number 1 and the East Gate.

Passengers planning to travel by evening trains from Secunderabad Railway Station or buses from Jubilee Bus Station are urged to start their journeys early to avoid delays. Metro Rail Services are recommended as a convenient alternative for travel to and from the area.

Parking arrangements have been made to accommodate vehicles for festival attendees. These include spaces inside Parade Grounds (East Gate and West Gate, with the latter reserved for VIPs), as well as Cantonment Play Ground, Gymkhana Ground, and Bison Polo Ground.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police has encouraged citizens to stay informed about traffic updates via their official social media channels on Facebook (@Hyderabad Traffic Police) and Twitter (@HYDP). Those requiring assistance can contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626.
