Hyderabad police nab drug peddlers, seize narcotics worth ₹3.35 lakh

Two drug peddlers and a consumer were caught in possession of narcotics valued at ₹3.35 lakh by the Commissioner’s South West Zone Task Force team and Amberpet Police. The seized contraband included six grams of cocaine, 15 grams of MDMA, two LSD blots and three mobile phones.

The accused, identified as Solomon Susai Raj, 33, Shaik Ghouse, 34, and Kannakenti Mahesh, 25, were arrested while attempting to sell drugs in Amberpet. Solomon, the primary accused, has a history of drug offences and was previously arrested under the NDPS Act by both Ameerpet Excise Police in 2021 and LB Nagar Police in 2023. During his imprisonment at Cherlapally Jail, he met Shaik Ghouse, who was also jailed in a ganja-related case.

“Upon their release, Solomon resumed his drug trade, procuring narcotics from contacts in Bengaluru and Goa. Last month, he sourced cocaine, MDMA and LSD blots from a supplier in Bangalore. On December 21, while attempting to sell the substances to Mahesh, the trio was intercepted by the Task Force team acting on credible information,” said the police.
