A three-day exclusive nadhaswaram music festival will be held in the city from December 27 – 29 as part of the birth centenary celebrations of nadhaswaram maestro Sheik Chinna Moulana.
The festival aims at providing a platform for young and upcoming nadhaswaram artistes and honouring the contributions of senior musicians. The event, to be held at Manghalam Weddings and Conventions hall in Thiruvanaikovil, will feature performances by three emerging talents as well as three troupes of senior nadhaswaram artistes, each paying musical homage to the legendary Dr. Chinna Moulana.
The celebrations, organised across continents by the Dr. Chinnamoulana Memorial Trust, was inaugurated in Tiruchi by former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Minister for Municipal Administration K.N. Nehru, in April.
