The Southern Railway announced special train services from Kerala for Mahakumbh Mela festival, which is set to be held in February at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
Train No. 06021 Kochuveli–Gaya Weekly Special will leave Kochuveli at 2 p.m. on January 7, 21, and February 4 and will reach Gaya at 1.30 a.m. onthe fourth day. In return direction, Train No. 06022 Gaya–Kochuveli Weekly Special will leave from Gaya at 11.55 p.m. on January 10, 24, and February 7 and will reach Kochuveli at 10.15 a.m. on the fourth day.
Train No. 06007 Kochuveli–Banaras Weekly Special will leave from Kochuveli at 2 p.m. on February 18 and 25 and will reach Banaras at 9.50 p.m. on the third day. In return direction, Train No. 06008 Banaras–Kochuveli Weekly Special will leave from Banaras at 6.05 p.m. on February 21 and 28 and will reach Kochuveli at 11.55 p.m. on the third day.
The Railways have also announced special train services to clear the extra rush during the Christmas and New Year period. Train No. 06043 MGR Chennai Central-Kochuveli Weekly Special will leave from MGR Chennai Central station at 11.20 p.m. on December 23 and 30 and reach will Kochuveli by 6.05 p.m. the next day. In return direction, Train No. 06044 Kochuveli–MGR Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave from Kochuveli at 8.20 p.m. on December 24 and 31 and will reach MGR Chennai Central station at 2 p.m. on the next day.
Train No. 06037 Kochuveli–Mangaluru Junction Weekly Unreserved Antyodaya Special will leave from Kochuveli at 8.20 p.m. on December 23 and 30 and will reach Mangaluru Junction by 9.15 a.m. the next day. In return direction, Train No. 06038 Mangaluru Junction–Kochuveli Weekly Unreserved Antyodaya Special will leave from Mangaluru Junction at 8.10 p.m. on December 24 and 31 and will reach Kochuveli by 10 a.m. the next day.
