Two persons killed after their bike hits a median near Pallikaranai


Two persons on a bike were killed on the spot after dashing the two-wheeler into the median on Velachery Main Road near Pallikaranai in the early morning on Sunday (December 22, 2024).

A senior official of the Tambaram Police Commissionerate said Gokul, a resident of Sankar Nagar in Pammal and his friend Vishnu, a native of Kerala, were working in an engineering company in Perungudi. Ajesh, who lives in the sixth street of Rajalakshmi Nagar in Pallikaranai, was giving a party to his friends where Gokul and Vishnu had also come.

Initial investigation revealed that the accident occurred when Gokul and Vishnu had gone to a bar to purchase liquor and were returning to his friend’s house in Rajalakshmi Nagar. The bike was proceeding at high speed on the Velachery main road when Gokul lost control of his vehicle and hit the median. In the impact both were thrown from the vehicle and were killed on the spot. 

Pallikaranai Traffic Investigation Police, on being alerted about the accident, sent the bodies to Government Chromepet Hospital for post-mortem. The traffic investigation police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
