Deputy CM inspects site meant for Chepauk Blood Purification Centre


Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Saturday inspected the sites of Chepauk Blood Purification and Rehabilitation Centre and two libraries set to be upgraded in the Chepauk-Triplicane Assembly constituency.

The projects, worth ₹13 crore, are managed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), according to a press release.

The Chepauk Blood Purification Centre, worth ₹10 crore, will span 22,604 sq.ft across five floors.

The library on Jani Basha Street, Royapettah, will be upgraded at ₹2 crore, covering 4,273 sq.ft. The one on Bharathi Road, Triplicane, will be upgraded at ₹1 crore, spanning 2,420 sq.ft, with similar facilities.

The release said that the deputy CM also reviewed the ongoing construction of the Chennai Middle School building on Bangaru Street.

Minister P.K. Sekarbabu, MP Dayanidhi Maran, Additional Chief Secretary Kakarla Usha, and senior CMDA officials were present during the inspection.
