Kanniyakumari SP suspends SSI over bribery charges

Kanniyakumari Superintendent of Police (P) R. Stalin on Wednesday (January 8, 2025) suspended a Special Sub-Inspector (SSI) on charges of corruption.

A complaint was lodged against Satheesh Kumar, SSI of Suchindram police station, alleging he had accepted bribe from a temple administrator. Based on this, the district SP launched an investigation.

The probe reportedly found that Satheesh was involved in corruption, following which Mr. Stalin issued an order to suspend the SSI from duty.
