QCFI award for Thiruvananthapuram airport

The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (Code: TRV), managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), has been awarded the prestigious Excellence Award from the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) at the National Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC) 2024, held in Gwalior on December 30, said a statement here on Wednesday.

This recognition is a testament to the airport’s outstanding Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives including obstacle limitation surfaces which ensures safe and sustainable airport operations. Thiruvananthapuram is the only airport in India to have won this coveted award two years in a row, said the statement. The jury applauded the airport authorities’ proactive approach in identifying and addressing safety vulnerabilities, resulting in reduced risk exposure, improved compliance and enhanced stakeholder confidence.
