The Telangana Junior Doctors Association (T-JUDA) has raised concerns regarding the delay in the NEET-PG counselling process by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), urging the authorities for immediate intervention.
In a statement released on Tuesday, T-JUDA highlighted the impact of the delay, saying that the academic year for post-graduate medical courses has already commenced on December 20. “The ongoing delay in the counselling process has placed Telangana students at a significant disadvantage,” the statement read.
Typically, the All India Quota (AIQ) and State counselling processes run concurrently, allowing students to make informed decisions about their options. However, the delay by KNRUHS has disrupted this coordination, creating uncertainty for students. Despite registering for State counselling several weeks ago, aspirants are still awaiting their rankings, leading to widespread anxiety and confusion.
Dr. K Rahul, president of T-JUDA, said, “With the academic year underway, continued delays are resulting in financial losses and heightened stress for students. If the State counselling does not begin before December 26, Telangana students risk losing their AIQ seats entirely,” he said.
