Teynampet police bust prostitution racket, rescue 11 women from a spa in T. Nagar


The Teynampet police have arrested a 41-year-old person for operating a prostitution racket in the name of a spa in T. Nagar on Monday.

A senior official of the City police said a tip-off was received that a spa located on Dr. B.N. Road in T. Nagar was being used for prostitution. Accordingly, a police team, comprising women constables, conducted searches at the spa and arrested T. Zakir Hussain, a resident of Rayappan Street in Royapettah. 

The police team rescued 11 women from various States and handed them over to the Government Women’s Shelter. The arrested Zakir Hussain was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
