Manachanallur police seize two logs of red sanders from a two-wheeler


The Manachanallur police seized two red sanders logs which were being smuggled on a two-wheeler on Saturday night and handed them over to the Forest Department officials.

Acting on information, a police team from Manachanallur station conducted checks on the Ayyampalayam-Thiruvellarai road. The two-wheeler riders carrying the wooden logs fled the spot abandoning the vehicle.

The Forest department officials were informed. Inquiry is on to trace the suspects and the vehicle used for smuggling, a police release said.
