The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Committee (SIPC) met under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad at the Secretariat on Monday.
The SIPC discussed various proposals including the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)‘s facility in Visakhapatnam, and Reliance Industries’ investment of ₹65,000 crore, and recommended them to the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) for approval.
Mr. Prasad instructed the departments to monitor large-scale investments and employment-generating proposals through the Investment Tracker platform and take the necessary action.
Secretary (Industries & Commerce) N. Yuvaraj, APIIC VC & MD M. Abhishikth Kishore, AP Economic Development Board C.M. CEO Saikanth Varma and AP Maritime Board CEO Praveen Aditya were present.
Special Chief Secretaries R.P. Sisodia (Revenue) and K. Vijayanand (Energy), Secretary (Finance) Ronald Ross and Commercial Taxes Chief Commissioner Babu. A participated in the meeting in virtual mode.
Bhogapuram airport
In the first meeting of the coordination committee on the development of Bhogapuram International Airport (BIA), Mr. Prasad instructed the departments concerned to complete the construction works in the stipulated time.
He enquired about the measures to be taken by the Customs, Health Departments, Bureau of Immigration and CISF.
