Data Point: Lack of options pushes J&K’s urban women towards agriculture

Over 50% of young urban women who are searching for jobs in Jammu and Kashmir are not finding any. Among those who are finding jobs, an increasing number of women are being pushed out of the service sector and into agriculture.

This indicates distressed employment. A significant share of urban women in the UT are searching for jobs but over half of them are unable to find any over an extended period.
