The South Western Railway (SWR) will operate two round trips of a special train services between Yeshwantpur and Mangaluru Junction to clear the Christmas festival rush.
Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chotwa stated that the SWR will operate Train No. 06505/06506 Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Express special train on demand on December 23 and 27 and 24 and 28. “May this bring cheer to all those who were looking forward to getting home to Mangaluru for Christmas,” he said.
According to a notification by SWR, Train No. 06505 leaves Yeshwantpur on Monday and Friday, December 23 and 27, at 11.55 p.m. to reach Mangaluru Junction at 11.45 a.m. the next day via Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpura, Sburahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur and Bantwal. Train NO. 06506 leaves Mangaluru Junction at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Saturday, December 24 and 28 to reach Yeshwantpur at 10.30 p.m. the same day.
