Karnataka high-level committee meeting chaired by CM Siddaramaiah clears 10 investment proposals of ₹9,823 crore

The 64th meeting of the State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) meeting headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday (December 23, 2024) approved 10 investment projects with a total worth of ₹9,823 crore.

It has approved projects in the semiconductor sector worth ₹3,425 crore at the electronic manufacturing cluster at Kochanahalli in Mysuru.

The meeting discussed the necessity of sharing of income generated by byproducts of sugar factories with sugarcane growers. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to review the measures taken by the Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra governments related to sharing of profits generated by byproducts of sugar factories.

The meeting attended by Industries Minister M.B. Patil and IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge discussed issues related to imposition of penalties on firms who get allocated KIADB lands but decline to set up factories as per the schedule. The chief minister told officials to ensure that factories/companies discharge their manufacturing/production processes as per the rules of the government.
