Anna University issue: AIADMK women’s wing demands justice for the victim

Members of the AIADMK women’s wing staged a demonstration on Saturday near Panagal building, Saidapet, to criticise the State government’s handling of the alleged sexual assault case concerning a girl student of the Anna University.

Led by former Ministers Gokula Indira and B. Valarmathi, the AIADMK members demanded justice for the victim and sought immediate action on the part of the government to ensure women’s safety on campuses. The protesters also raised slogans calling for the arrest of the “real culprit” and that the perpetrators be given stringent punishment.
