Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Saturday said that the tungsten mining project would not be implemented in the State.
“I have already said that it [the project] will not be implemented so long as I am the Chief Minister, and I will not occupy the post if it is implemented. This is my message to those who seek to gain political mileage by confusing people,” he said in his reply to the Governor’s address to the Assembly.
He said it was the AIADMK that supported the Act that took away the State’s rights over mining.
“AIADMK MP M. Thambidurai has spoken in favour of the Act,” the Chief Minister said.
