Petrol pumps to remain closed on Monday


The petrol pumps across the State will remain closed from 6 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday. The All Kerala Federation of Petroleum Traders have announced the shut down as a protest against the alleged attack against their leaders by some members of the Tanker Lorry Drivers’ Union as the former visited the HPCL Officer in Kozhikode for a discussion on Friday.

President of the Federation Tomy Thomas said in a press release that the AKFPT will observe black day till Monday and that a blockade will be staged at the HPCL terminal at Irumpanam on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the pumps in Kozhikode district remained closed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
