Moving bus catches fire – The Hindu

Nearly 30 passengers of a tourist bus had a narrow escape when the moving vehicle caught fire along the National Highway 66 bypass on Saturday. The incident occurred at Mannakkal, near Thirupuram, when the bus was headed for Kanyakumari from Kollam. The passengers disembarked the bus after being alerted by the driver, who noticed fire emanating from the engine.

While the bus soon went up in flames, two fire force units from Poovar and Neyyattinkara fire stations doused the fire. Several of the passengers’ bags and valuables were destroyed in the fire.
