Now, parents can monitor students’ academic progress on Sampoorna Plus app

The ‘Sampoorna Plus’ mobile app is now accessible to parents. Developed by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), the technology arm of the General Education department, for State schools, the app empowers parents to actively participate in their children’s education.

A government order mandating the use of Sampoorna online management software in all schools also directs the implementation of measures to enhance the software. This includes features such as student attendance, academic performance, and evaluation of extracurricular activities. The Sampoorna Plus mobile app, launched in 2024, fulfils this mandate. KITE has enabled the Sampoorna Plus app for parents of 36.44 lakh students in 12,943 schools in the State.

Sampoorna Plus facilitates the recording of students’ attendance and academic progress, thereby enhancing communication between parents and schools. These features are integrated into both the Sampoorna Online School Management System and the mobile app. The official version of the app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.

How to access details

After installing Sampoorna Plus, users should select the ‘Parent’ role from the ‘HM/Teacher/Parent’ options. First-time users will be required to sign up using the OTP sent to the mobile number registered on Sampoorna during their child’s admission. Parents should contact the school authorities to ensure their mobile number is updated on Sampoorna.

When a parent logs in to Sampoorna Plus using their mobile number as the username and their password, they can only view the profiles of the children linked to that mobile number. In the profile, parents can view messages from school, attendance, mark lists, and more. The communication facility in the mobile app enables seamless interaction between parents and teachers.

Exam results included

K. Anvar Sadath, chief executive officer, KITE, confirmed that most schools had included the term exam results of Classes 1 to 9, conducted in December, in the Sampoorna Plus app. This allowed parents to monitor their child’s academic progress through the app. Necessary cybersecurity and security features have been incorporated into Sampoorna Plus.
