Fight among brothers over ganja leads to death of one

An altercation over consumption of ganja led to a fight between two brothers and resulted in the death of one in Belagavi district.

The incident happened on Friday night at Nilaji village in Belagavi taluk and the deceased has been identified as Sushanth Subhash Patil, 20. His brother Omkar Subhash Patil, 23, has been hospitalised with injuries.

According to sources, the brothers were reportedly addicted to ganja and on Friday, they reportedly had a fight over sharing ganja. The brothers started manhandling each other and both fell from the second floor of their house. While Sushanth was killed on the spot, Omkar suffered injuries, the Marihal station police said.
