Man booked for cheating farmer promising forest watcher job for his children

The Vidhana Soudha police have registered a cheating case against a person who, posing as a close confidant of the Forest Minister, cheated a farmer promising jobs for his children in the Forest Department.

The accused, identified as Veeresh K.P., got introduced to P.H. Adavi, a resident of Rajajinagar, and promised to get the job of forest watcher for his children in December 2023.

The accused asked Adavi to come to the Vikasa Soudha to discuss about the jobs.

Adavi agreed and paid a total of ₹6 lakh. After receiving the amount, Veeresh asked him to apply for the post and assured him of taking care of the rest.

The complainant followed the instructions and found that he did not get the job. He tried to contact Veeresh but he avoided him. After waiting for over one year, Adavi approached the police and filed a complaint.
