Russia lifts gasoline export ban for producers, extends for others

Russia’s Government has lifted a temporary ban on gasoline exports for producers but extended the restrictions for other exporters of the fuel until Jan. 31, 2025, it said on Saturday (November 30, 2024).

The initial ban on gasoline exports was set to expire at the end of this year.

“The decision was taken to maintain a stable situation in the domestic fuel market, support the economy of oil refining, and counteract grey exports of motor gasoline,” the statement says.
