Headmaster of T.N. tribal residential school suspended for making students wash dishes

A headmaster and cook of the Government Tribal Residential Primary School at Innadu in Kalvarayan Hills were suspended for allegedly making students wash cooking utensils.

According to sources, the action was taken after a purported video of girl students of the school washing cooking utensils went viral on social media. The students were asked to clean the utensils after eating their meal.

Following a complaint, the Project Officer of the Tribal Welfare Department in Kallakurichi P.T. Sundharam conducted an inquiry. On finding that the allegations were true, the official ordered the suspension of the school headmaster S. Sebastian and cook R. Radhika with immediate effect.
