SSI of Police suspended from service in Rajapalayam


A Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Mohanraj, attached to Rajapalayam South police station has been placed under suspension for turning up for duty in a drunken mood.

Police said the SSI rambled on while on night duty on Monday. A woman police constable who was on duty at the station alerted senior officials following which the SSI was subjected to medical examination.

He was immediately transferred to Armed Reserve. Subsequently, Superintendent of Police D. Kannan placed him under suspension on Wednesday.
