Chief Commissioner of Income Tax visits Salem I-T office


D. Sudhakara Rao, Chief Commissioner of the Income Tax Department (CCIT), Tiruchi, visited the Salem Income Tax office recently. 

The CCIT inspected the Aayakar Seva Kendra (ASK) to get first-hand information as regards the handling of public grievances by the department. He interacted with the officers and staff in charge of the ASK centre and directed that the grievances filed by the taxpayer public be promptly attended to and grievances resolved. He later held a review meeting with Income Tax officials of Salem, Tiruchi, and Coimbatore. The CCIT was directed to improve the performance of the officers to achieve the target set by the Central Action Plan.

Mr. Sudhakara Rao inaugurated the Capacity Building Conference and delivered a keynote address in which officers and staff from Salem, the Tiruchi region, Pondicherry, Hosur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, and Namakkal also attended.
