Telangana Minister for Health C. Damodar Raja Narasimha underscored the need for optimal utilisation of medical equipment and the creation of infrastructure in government hospitals as per Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS). The Minister, during a review meeting held at the Rajiv Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust office in Hyderabad on Monday, instructed the heads of departments to prioritise equipment repairs, infrastructure maintenance, and staff recruitment.

The Minister urged senior health officials to submit a comprehensive report on hospital management, medical equipment repairs, and recruitment of staff such as lab technicians to enhance the efficiency of government healthcare facilities.

The meeting was attended by Health Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare R.V. Karnan, Director of Public Health and Family Welfare Ravinder Naik and Director of Medical Education N. Vani.
