One-Man Commission on SC sub-classification to visit Eluru, Krishna and Guntur districts from December 27 to 30 


The One-Man Commission comprising retired IAS officer Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, constituted by the State government to inquire into the sub-classification of Scheduled Castes, invited those who could not submit their representations to him directly to mail the same or submit in person at his office in Vijayawada before January 9, 2025. 

He stated in a press release that the sub-classification had been taken up in compliance with the Supreme Court judgment in the State of Punjab V/s Davinder Singh & Others.

Accordingly, Mr. Mishra said he would be visiting Eluru, Krishna and Guntur districts from December 27 to 30 to receive representations from individuals and institutions (from both the old and new districts) familiar with the subject matter. 

People and institutions who cannot directly submit representations to Mr. Mishra in his meetings can submit them at his office on the 1st floor of the office of the Director of Tribal Welfare, situated on Koneru Lakshmaiah Street in Moghalrajpuram, between 10 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., or by mail to omcscsubclassification@gmail.com before the said date.
