Conservancy staff recover body of a baby girl in a garbage bin


The Adambakkam police have filed a case and investigating the retrieval of a dead baby from a garbage bin in Kakkan Nagar of Adambakkam on Saturday. 

A senior official of the City police said the corporation conservancy staff were involved in cleaning the streets of  Kakkan nagar on Saturday. As the workers came to collect the garbage from the bin, they were shocked to find a newborn baby girl dead.

Immediately, the corporation health department informed the local police who reached and recovered the body of the child. They later sent it to the Chromepet government hospital for autopsy. 

The police officials are examining the CCTV footage from the nearby streets to identify the person who threw the baby.
